We always cut away the dials so you can see the oscillating balance wheel while you wear your watch. We’ve taken that up a notch with the Caspian Automatic by showcasing dual balance wheels - a first for Archetype. The two balance wheels are surrounded by a beautifully textured, guilloche-style baseplate. The time telling dial features two stamped textures and classic Roman numerals hour markers which is all elevated above the balance wheels and baseplate. An embossed-croc leather strap with stainless steel traditional tang buckle complement the guilloche dial details for a refined look.

Stunning and Insanely Accurate---BUY THIS WATCH!!!

When I opened my watch box, I gasped and the first words out of my mouth were "Oh, holy sh*t" The watch is truly stunning and I love seeing the gears turn through the glass back when I wind it. One of the most surprising things about the watch is how little time it loses. I wore it for 4 days in a row, and despite the movement moving at 21600 VPH (which is still relatively high), it lost maybe 15 seconds over those four days, which is much better than my more expensive watch with a 28,800 VPH movement. If I had to be really picky, I would say that the box and strap feel a little cheap. However, the inside of the band is nice and soft and feels really good on the wrist. I think the leather strap is wrapped in something equivalent in function to a veneer for wood (I could be wrong) which gives it a nice look but makes it feel a little plasticy. On the flip side, this leather band is much more resistant to scratches then my other ones, which is a huge plus. I love looking at the watch, and watching the dual balance wheels and escapements work is mesmerizing and super satisfying. I was in between this one in the black, but ultimately went with the rose because it is a bit less common and goes with my outfits better, and I couldn't be happier. All in all, BUY THIS WATCH!!!
